PointReyes.net

It is interesting mapping out our outdoor playgrounds because you come across a lot of valuable information. While mapping Point Reyes National Seashore, I took a deep look at PointReyes.net. This is an excellent resource, offering detailed insight on the activities and habitat of Point Reyes. I like how this site spans across outdoor recreation and nature.

ActivityGuidebook.com Now On-line!

This is the first post from Interactive GeoGuidebooks. The use of the Internet to access information regarding planning outdoor adventures has been amazing. There are all sorts of different sites, which have proven useful for adventurers like myself. The best source of information, however, has always been word of mouth. That is, the actual people that take the time to enjoy the outdoors. Moreover, finding and correlating information from various sources can be complicated. As with pretty much everything, there is always room for improvement.

It is for this reason that my partner and I launched ActivityGuidebook.com. This site is different from the others. It makes use of the amazing mapping technology brought to us by Google and an interactive approach whereby we adventurers can submit and edit content. This breaks down the problem of swiching between various web-sites; from State, Municipal, commercial, etc. to get a proper understanding of what is available for a particular area. The best part is that we can share information using simple tools in effect creating an Interactive Guidebook For Outdoor Enthusiasts.
